As aggravating as a turnover or a missed
shot can be, it is only compounded when we
give up fast break points because we fail to
make the transition to defense.

And giving up fast break points after a made
basket is simply inexcusable.

For this reason, we designate the point spot
at the top of the key as a safety position.

Anytime it's vacated, we make sure we fill
back out to it.

With the point spot occupied, when the ball
is turned over, we are in a position to recover
defensively.
